Structural Plate Tests

CLS_REF:

This test refines a plate by class.

DORIS:

This test calculates joint displacements on a plate for a load case derived from temperature.

LS_TP:

This tests a longitudinally stiffened system of four triangular plates. This is physically equivalent to the test ls_qp.

LS_QP:

This tests a longitudinally stiffened, square plate.

MP:

This tests four plates with more than four nodes.

NOT_CONVEX:

This tests the error message for plates which are not convex.

PLA_CHK:

This tests a quad and two triangles which should be the same.

PLA_OFF:

This tests plate offsets.

PLA_PATC:

This tests several plates which form a rectangle.

PLA_REFN:

This tests the use of a plate reference node.

PLA_WT:

This test checks the weights of stiffeners added to plates.

PLA_TEMP:

This tests temperature in a plate.

PSEUDO_Q1:

This tests the loads from a plate get passed to the pseudo plate element.

PSEUDO_Q4:

This tests the is similar to PSUEDO_Q1. Here the original plate is made up of four triangular plated. The test is the check loads from the original plate get passed to the pseudo plate element.

QP:

This is a basic rectangular plate and a beam which should give the same answers. It is used for comparison with the stiffened plate tests (lp_qp).

C_QP:

This is a corrugated rectangular plate. It can be compared with qp to see the effect of the corrugation.

REF_FE:

This test checks a bracket with a free edge.

REF_HOLE:

This test refines a square plate with a hole in it three times: once by specifying an edge, once by specifying two edges, and once refining all edges.

REF_QUAD:

This test refines a square plate three times: once by specifying an edge, once by specifying a box in space, and finally by specifying an element.

RECT_NO:

This test is a partner to the rect_ref test files. Here the same rectangle model contains the nodes that the program adds in rect_ref. A load is added to the rectangle and the joint displacements and the stress are reported.

RECT_REF:

This test is a partner to the rect_no test files. Here the same basic rectangle is used. The dimensions are the same as in rect_no but the four nodes in the initial definition are not included. These nodes are added by the program when the REFINE command is used. Once the nodes have been added the rest of the analysis is the same. A load is added to the rectangle and the joint displacements and the stress are reported.

TP:

This test should give the same results as qp except that the quad is changed to four symmetric triangles.

TP_TEST:

This tests sp_plate elements.

TS_QP:

This is test of a rectangular plate stiffened transversely.

ZP:

This is test of the -rel option on the PLATE command.
